Advisory Board

The knowledge and expertise the members of the Editorial Advisory Board bring to the development of The Handbook of Archival Science is much appreciated!

Luciana Duranti: Dr. Luciana Duranti is a Professor of archival theory, diplomatics, and the preservation of digital records in the master’s and doctoral archival studies programs of the School of Library, Archival and Information Studies of the University of British Columbia. She is Director of the Centre for the International Study of Contemporary Records and Archives (CISCRA—www.ciscra.org) and of the InterPARES research project on the long-term preservation of authentic electronic records (1998-2019—www.interpares.org).

Adam Jansen: Dr. Adam Jansen is the state archivist for the Hawaii State Archives, where he works on digital records and accessibility. He was previously the digital archivist for the State of Washington, where he managed the Washington State Digital Archives, a digital archive for both state and local government.

Julie McLeod: Julie McLeod is Professor in Records Management at Northumbria University. Her research is in records management, specifically the people, process, systems, and governance aspects, and she has directed many projects including AC+erm, the largest AHRC grant awarded for records management research.

Richard Pearce-Moses: Richard Pearce-Moses is an archivist and archives educator. He is a past president of the Society of American Archivists. In 2009, he was recognized by the Library of Congress for his work as a Digital Preservation Pioneer. In 2010, he became the first director of the Master of Archival Studies (MAS) program at Clayton State University.
